Review by Bec and Beauty

Today I thought I would add another fake tan review to the blog, although I have written several already! I guess it just shows the variety of products that are on the market, and how they can be compared.
This one is the Bondi Sands self tanning foam in dark. You can read my previous review on the Bondi Sands self tanning lotion here. Because I adored the product and brand so much, I repurchased, but decided to try the foam/mousse instead of the lotion, just for something different. The first mousse I tried was the Reef self-tanning mousse (review here) and I was thoroughly impressed with the formula, so it led me to buying the Bondi Sands version.
Let me start off by saying, I am sold on this formula forever. Whilst I had no problems with lotions, mousse is just so much easier to spread and blend, and I find that it also dries faster than lotion. The Bondi Sands foam has the characteristic coconut scent which is delicious, and the product is green-based, so that a beautiful bronze colour develops with no hint of orange whatsoever. Originally I did prefer lotions, but I will happily eat my words now!
I apply this tan with a mitt in order to keep my hands from changing colour too much, and it couldn't be easier. I use one pump for each arm and two pumps for each leg. The pump in the bottle disperses a perfect amount of product. The bottle is 200ml size and retails for $19.99 at Priceline. After application you can wash your skin after 1 hour, but the tan may be left on for up to 6 hours before it fully develops. I generally will apply and let it develop overnight.
In comparison to the Bondi Sands lotion, I feel that this leaves less of a green colour to my skin, and I do think that it develops marginally quicker than the lotion. I am always so happy with the colour that my skin is after using this product. The tan also lasts for a great amount of time, generally I can get 5-7 days from one application before the tan becomes patchy. In terms of fading, this one is very natural, and will remain natural looking for almost a week. Sometimes I forget that I have fake tan on because it looks so natural!
Overall I am super happy with this product and I feel it is well worth the price tag. Most times I purchase when it's on sale, which is an added bonus! I also love the fact that Bondi Sands is made in Australia, nothing I like more than supporting an Aussie brand!
Have you tried Bondi Sands? What did you think?
Cheers! Bec x

Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencil Swatches & Review

I'm pretty sure if you've followed me on Instagram, you would of known how excited I was when I finally collected all the shades from the new Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil* collection!!  'You teach me and I'll teach you, Pokemon! Gotta catch'em all...' This Pokemon song got so stuck in my head since the day I completed the collection, that's how excited I was...
Haha anyway, jumbo lip pencils to be created as worn like lipsticks, sounds familiar right? I'm sure you guys have seen the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil by NARS and Art Stick by Bobbi Brown, that's exactly what I thought when I got my first Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil! I was quite worried at first worrying if these going to be as pigmented as NARS, or if the formula would be creamy enough or dry like a regular lip liner. Until the moment I tried it for the first time, it's MAGIC.COM!!!!
The formula of these lip pencils are beyond amazing! They're so smooth, creamy and pigmented, also super easy to apply with the precise tips due to the nature of being a pencil. They're not like the regular lip liners that would make your lips feel dry and uncomfortable. Instead, you could wear this all day very comfortably just like most of lipsticks. While being creamy, the colour doesn't move around much at all, therefore very long lasting on the lips. Usually I only touch up after big meals, and other than that I don't even need to worry about the colour coming off throughout the day.

Enough raving about the formula and pigmentation, let's now have a look of the colour selection! (and I bet your eyes gonna turn into little love hearts like the emoji face haha, such a gorgeous wearable colour range!)
Nude Perfection is a light brown nude. It's been my favourite colour from the selection ever since I got this shade. It's not too light like a lot of other nudes would look totally washed out on me, instead it's more of a '90s' nude which is super in trend right now! Get this, you NEED it!!
Minimalist is a shimmer pink. It's the 'odd child' in the family as this is the only colour that isn't matte. It has a bit of shimmer in the product, therefore the application isn't as smooth as the other shades. Sadly I have to say this is the least favourite colour for me due to the chunky shimmers.
Love Me Pink is a medium pink. A girly pink colour that isn't washed out and not too bright either, super easy to wear for any occasions, a perfect colour for whenever you need a touch of pink.
Fuchsia Desire is a hot fuchsia. A lot of fuchsia shades are way too blue toned and not as wearable, but Fuchsia Desire is the perfect balance between pink and purple. I absolutely adore this shade, and wore it in my Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial two months ago.
In With Coral is a neon coral. The shade out of the whole range that is a bit 'out there' with its neon-ness (is this even a word). I would totally rock this shade in summer! Wouldn't you?
Fab Orange is a red-ish orange. It's not quite as orange as Morange from MAC, but instead is a spot on dupe for MAC So Chaud or MAC Lady Danger. A must grab if you're into the orange-red shades!
Light It Up is a true red. A bit of blue undertone make this colour a statement bright red colour. Blue reds also make your teeth white, just saying in case you don't know this fact yet.
Red Essential is a medium red. It's not too dark but definitely a bit darker than Light It Up. This is the favourite red out of the bunch for my skin tone. I also mentioned this colour in my March Favourites video.
Pink So Chic is a plummy mauve. I don't know why they call this shade 'pink' as you guys could see this is nothing pink, but more berry or plummy. Sometimes I use this shade to outline my lips then fill them in with Nude Perfection, such an amazing combo!
Berry Much is a deep berry. Dark lippies is so in trend right now, and this is definitely a colour you should have in your collection when you're feeling a bit 'grunge'.
The picture below truly shows how long lasting the formulation is, simply just makeup remover wipes couldn't even get them off, which means eating and drinking wouldn't either. You do need some eye and lip makeup remover or cleansing oil to get these off completely, otherwise you would have slightly stained lips going to bed.
Now more swatchy swatches:

I'm safe to say my top 3 drugstore lip product now is ColourPop Lippie Stix, Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil, and my old favourite Wet N Wild MegaLast Lip Color. I've tried so many drugstore lipsticks, but these three lipsticks are all highly pigmented, really long lasting, super easy to apply, and dirt cheap; plus they all have amazing colour selection too.
If you're looking for some new lippies, you should definitely check out these lip pencils if you haven't yet! You will thank me later!
